King cigarettes are produced by the Bulgarian company KT International SA (formerly King’s Tobacco). The company was founded in 2008 (KTI was renamed in 2016) on the basis of tobacco production of the Bulgarian factory in Plovdiv, leading its history since 1872. And the King cigarettes brand “was born” in 2009 and is now the flagship of the range.
The variety of King cigarettes has seven independent lines and about thirty varieties. The cigarettes of today’s review, The King Original Red, belong to the most numerous lines of six varieties, where Red is the strongest. Red is presented in a modern cardboard box with rounded edges, in a bright but simple design. The design is really simple, but quite informative and perfectly memorable.
There are only certain doubts about the legality of this sample… So, cigarettes are modern (the design corresponds to the release of 2016-2017), but do not have “horror stories” in any form, nor an old sample in b/w, nor new multi-color and “life-affirming”.
When you open the pack, an inscription explaining what freshpak technology is becomes visible, the visual designation of which is also available on the outer surfaces of the pack. So, freshpak is, according to the manufacturer’s idea, a particularly dense packing of cigarettes that ensures the preservation of flavor. However, cigarettes are packed in traditional foil paper and there is nothing unusual in this. Let’s say in a pack of modern Marlboro, this technology is more successfully applied.
The design of cigarettes is simple, no frills – “cork” camouflage filter paper, silver separating tape and brand name. The ratio of yellow and dark yellow fractions is almost equal. Particles of brown and light yellow flowers in much smaller quantities. The cutting of the mixture is quite thin and consists mainly of narrow ribbons of different lengths, small flakes and thin sections of the vein. The surrogate leaf is present, but in a very gentle volume. In general, a pretty good blend.
